We are looking for a Medical Technologist - GENERALIST with at least 1 year experience. We have a night shift available. Will perform Generalist rotation i.e: (hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology).

Must have three or four years of formal education or training beyond high school or B.S. B.A. degree and be licensed by the State of Florida Department of Health, Medical Technologist and be ASCP.


EDUCATION REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED:
Degreed Medical Technician or other qualification recognized by Lab Certification agencies required. ASCP.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
Florida Medical Technician License required (in all 5 areas)
BLS certified within 90 days of hire required

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED OR PREFERRED:
Less than one year required
1-3 years preferred

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
Comprehensive knowledge of Hematology, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Microbiology and related sciences.
Knowledge of the operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
Ability to use independent judgment.
Ability to remain calm, to think and act quickly and logically in a crisis situation.
Good customer service skills.
